Born in Ghent, Belgium in 1968, Wim Nival studied painting, ceramics and graphics. Now he mainly makes objects, collages and graphic works, and he uses existing materials as a starting point for his work. “I try to make art that carries a certain silence. My work is situated in the sphere of minimal art and art povere, with references to typography, design, the mathematical and the architectural.
